How an Untreated Tooth Led to Extraction - and How Our Team Restored It

A patient came to us with pain in a tooth that had previously been treated at another clinic. It had an inlay and a crown, so it seemed restored - but the pain returned. This can happen with teeth that have already undergone treatment.

During the examination, we found that the inlay had fallen out and decay had developed underneath, reaching the root. At that stage, the tooth could no longer be saved.

Since the patient was planning to leave Dubai for a while, we decided to postpone implant placement. At the first stage - tooth extraction - we focused on creating the best conditions for healthy healing of the gum and bone.

Two months later, when the tissues were fully prepared, we placed a dental implant - a reliable foundation for the future crown that would restore both function and aesthetics.

Three months after placement, once the implant had integrated, we performed soft-tissue grafting and placed a temporary crown to shape the gum so it seals tightly around the crown. This helps extend the lifespan of the implant.

One month later, we fitted the final crown, fully restoring chewing function and the aesthetics of the smile.
